Diploma of European Cardiologist
Important Announcement!
The European Society of Cardiology (ESC), together with the UEMS Cardiology Section, parent organisations of the European Board for the Speciality of Cardiology (EBSC) have decided to no longer issue the Programme of the Diploma of European Cardiologist as of 1 January 2009.
Moreover, the initially announced Revalidation Process is not going ahead.
The ESC and the EBSC are working towards developing a new Programme for tracking and validating training in Cardiology and revalidation of qualified Cardiologists. This will provide national accreditation authorities the mechanism and the elements to grant certification and revalidation of cardiology specialists. The aim is to bring the Diploma of European Cardiologist recognition and legitimacy.
The ESC, UEMS CS and EBSC thank you for your understanding and for your support of the Programme in the past and, hopefully, also in the future.
