The EBSC acts as an advisory
body for national authorities which certify (by a speciality
diploma) the completion of speciality training in cardiology,
and which may also certify training centres and teachers.
The comprehensive overview of national
training structures in cardiology in European countries allows
EBSC to prepare appropriate recommendations, and monitor their
implementation.
Second Edition Surveys
The Second Edition of the Survey on National
Training in Cardiology was presented on the occasion of the ESC Annual Congress in Munich in 2008.
EBSC have also contributed to the UEMS - Cardiology Section survey on "Manpower in Cardiology" (2008). Slides were presented on this occasion and are made available by the ESC here.
